Louise Gresham Pettigrew, 102, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 29, 2018. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Stephen N. Johnson and Charlie Simmons officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
She was born in Round Oak, Georgia to the late Robert O. and Mattie Green Gresham. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, John Melton Pettigrew. She was a member of Mabel White Baptist Church for seventy one years, where she taught Primary Sunday School for twenty years, a member of the Faith Bible Class and the Golden Agers. She was retired from Tom’s Foods. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her children, James Earl Pettigrew and Edith Lavender, grandson, Leighton Todd (Shawn) Lavender, great grandchildren, Devin (Marissa) Lavender and Krista Lavender, sister, Eunice Johnson, and several nieces and nephews.
