

Lyle O. “Wildman” Wilday, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, August 10, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Jackson and the Rev. Helen Willoughby officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family suggests that those who wish may make donations to Evercare Hospice, 4875 Riverside Drive, Suite 104, Macon GA 31210.
Mr. Wilday was born in Florida, New York to the late George and Myrtle Wilday. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Devello Wilday and Larry Wilday, and sister, Luella Martin. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. Mr. Wilday was employed by J.D. Pawn Shop and was an avid sports fan, enjoying NASCAR and the Braves and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Wilday of Macon, daughter, Christina Palmer of Macon, grandson, Dalton Palmer of Macon, brother, Norman Wilday of New York, sister, Eunice Perry of New York and sister-in-law, Stella Wilday of Gray and numerous nieces and nephews.
