Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Meadows officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dortch won against cancer 7 times but that never stopped her from being a member of the Macon Bowling Hall of Fame. Her passions consisted of days in the garden playing with flowers and feeding the hummingbirds. When she wasn’t outside, she was leveling up on “Candy Crush.” She was a retired inspector with Aerospace Defense Coatings.
Survivors include her Husband, Royce Dortch of Macon, children, Billie Jo Peavy (Josh) Hittle of Cicero, Indiana; Ronnie Peavy of Macon; grandchildren, Jordan Culverhouse and Faith Hittle; brother, Buddy McCallister and sister, Judy McCallister; step children, Delena (Jim) McCarley, Ricky Dortch; step grandchildren, John Robert and Hallie Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ella Lavender McCallister; grandson, Justin Culverhouse; brother, James McCallister and sister, Ann Elliott.
