Marcus Monroe Hartley

Marcus M. Hartley, 82, of Vacation Drive, Macon Georgia, died Friday, March 31, 2017, at a local hospital with his family by his side. The family will greet friends Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on Mercer University in Macon. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 3, 2017, at 3:30 PM, in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum in Macon, Georgia with the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Mr. Hartley was born in Alamo, Georgia and had lived in Macon, Georgia for the past 75 years. He was the son of the late George W. Hartley and Lula Mae Gaskin Hartley. Mr. Hartley was a Veteran of the United States Navy and retired Civil Service from Warner Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Hartley was an outstanding husband and father, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, T.W. Hartley, Elvin Hartley and Aurice Hartley.

Mr. Hartley is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Hartley of 54 years, children; Melissa Skinner (Lee), Tiffany Hartley (Chris Green); grandchildren: Kayse Windham, Brent Skinner, Marcus Taylor (Kathleen), Ryan Skinner, Zachary Odom, Kyle Skinner, Matthew Odom and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers Felton Hartley and Quinton Hartley, his loving sister, Patricia Jones and several nieces and nephews.
