Margaret Elizabeth Granger Ricks, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, February 14, 2016. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Michael Granger Ricks officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ricks was born in Dublin, Georgia to the late George and Aletha Holmes Granger and was preceded in death by her husband, James “Kret” Ricks; three brothers; two sisters; a niece and two nephews. She worked at the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Macon during her early years and later was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ricks was a lifelong member of Mikado Baptist Church, where she was devoted to her Sunday School Class. She was the epitome of a homemaker, dedicating herself to cooking, sewing, interior designing, and gardening.
Survivors include her son, Granger (Jerrie) Ricks; grandchildren, Michael (Betsy) Ricks, Charles (Sheila) Ricks and Kathryn Ricks (Michael) Wylder; seven great grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.
