Margaret W. Dow, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2022. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Elder Dan Bryant officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
She was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Charlotte Brown White. Margaret graduated from Perry High School in 1957 and began a long career in civil service at Robins Air Force Base. She also attended Macon Junior College. She met the love of her life, Leslie Dow in 1959. They built a home in Lizella, Georgia and resided there for fifty-nine years. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Leslie Weymouth Dow; brother, Bobby White; nephew, Scott White; and niece, Julie Phillips.
She is survived by her brother, Charles (Ruby) White and sister, Lucy (Richard) Williams along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
