Margie R. Carter

Margie Roberts Carter, 89, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Taylor Carter officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carter was born in Gray, Georgia to the late William Franklin and Marie Britt Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dowse B. Carter, Jr. and her sister, Eleanor Schultz. Mrs. Carter was a Relief House Parent with the Masonic Home. She was a member of Doles United Methodist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her children; Debbie C. (Gary) Kubach of Juliette, Brad (Lynn) Carter, III of Lizella, Steve (Kathy) Carter of Macon, grandchildren; Jody Kersey, Kandi (Ricky) Shurley, Bradley (Akeana) Carter, Brandon (Heather) Carter, Tyler (Julie) Carter, Taylor (Amanda) Carter, great grandchildren; Tomy Kersey, Trey Shurley, Drew Shurley, Allie Carter, Jaxson Carter, Brody Carter, Braxton Carter, Maci Ann Carter, Tate Carter and Brantley Carter, sister; Carolyn Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
