Marian B. Evans

Marian Bryant Evans, 83, formerly of Griffin, passed away on July 4, 2013 at Pine Pointe Hospice after a brief illness. Graveside services will be private at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will meet friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.

Mrs. Evans was born and raised in Griffin, Georgia to the late Allen Edward and Pauline Pryor Byrant. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Gerald Lee Evans, Sr. Mrs. Evans was a graduate of Griffin High School and was retired as Secretary to the President of Taylor Iron Works and Supply Company in Macon, GA. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at their summer homes at Lake Oconee and St. Simons Island, GA.

She is survived by her children, Gerald L. (Julie) Evans, Jr., Joan E. (Wade) Adams, Jan E. (Martin) Ursitti, Judy E. (Todd) Hendricks, Jeffrey A. (Kandra) Evans all of Macon, ten grandchildren, Jennifer Adams (Sid) Rives, Wad Taylor (Jessica) Adams, Jr., Jonathan Tyler Adams, Andrew Keith (Judith) Ursitti, Lt. Martin Bryant Ursitti, Jeremy Jack Weatherly, Benjamin Blake Weatherly, Lauren Elizabeth Evans, Kristen Allison Evans, Jeffrey Allen Evans, Jr. and four great grandchildren, Amy and Jack Ursitti, Riley Rives and Amelia Adams.
