Marie Tipton McLendon, 83, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Janet Smith officiating. The family will meet friends following the graveside service.
Mrs. McLendon was born in Dublin, GA to the late James and Lucy Mathis Tipton. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilmer McLendon. She was retired from John Wesley Villas and was a member of the Baptist faith. She was devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, Kristy (Chris) Hendrix, Kassie McLendon, Kimberly McLendon; great grandchildren, Steven, Michael, Rebecca and Savannah Hendrix of Macon, Emberly McLendon and Tristin Prater; eight siblings.
