Martha Smith Roberts, 92, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Stam will officiate. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity. They will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM the afternoon of the service.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Dooly County, Georgia the daughter of the late Lois Scott Smith and John Henry Smith. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wesley Roberts and her sister, Emily Brannen.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her son, Marvin Wesley (Dianne) Roberts of Macon; grandchildren, Allison (Rob) Kelly of Savannah, and John Wesley (Robin) Roberts of Amelia Island, Florida; great-grandchildren, Lucille and Betsy Kelly, Jack, Benjamin, Hudson, and Elizabeth Roberts; brother, John Henry (June) Smith of Unadilla; numerous nephews.
