Martin Charles Bass

Macon, GA - Martin Charles Bass, 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 16, 2012. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 777 Elm Street, Macon GA with the Rev. Jacob Parker officiating. Entombment will be in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mr. Bass was born in Houston, County to the late Manson and Minnie F. Morris Bass. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Verma Allen, Jessie Newman, Mae Thompson, Minnie Lee Bentley, Dorothy Harris, Ola Allen and his brother, Albert Allen. He served in United States Army and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Bass was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, he was a member of the senior choir and a member of the Men’s Ministry. He coached little league baseball for many years.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Valeria (Derek) Stone of Macon, nephew, Herman Harris of Stone Mountain, GA, nieces, Barbara Allen of Macon, and Rev. Claudette Calloway and Geraldine Dixon of Detroit, MI and several other nieces and nephews, great niece, Jacinta Allen and great nephew, Robert Allen.
