Macon – Marvin Prew Wilson, Jr. went home to be with the Lord February 4, 2011. A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2 pm Tuesday February 8, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Wilson was born in Bibb County to the late Marvin Prew Wilson, Sr. and Mildred Hoover Wilson. He was preceded in death by his son Marvin Prew Wilson,III. He was retired maintenance engineer for OPM and Jeff Jones. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed the hobby of Beekeeping.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Sharon Wilson; children, Melanie (Mike) Wilson, Marlene Lester, and Lorena (Jerry) Reynolds all of Macon; grandchildren, Emmaline Lester, Nancy Leigh Lester, John Reynolds, and Shelby Martin; great grandchild, Melissa Lester; brothers, Carl Wilson of Macon and James (Faye) Wilson of Gray; sisters, Esther Sorrow and Ann (Jimmy) Wright both of Macon; several nieces and nephews.
