

Mary Alice Goss Mason, 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior October 24, 2015. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Joe McDaniel officiating. The family will greet friends Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mary Alice was born to the late Thomas Jefferson and Mary Magdalene Cummings. Ms. Mason was a charter member of Porterfield Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving Mother,"Maw", sister, and aunt.
Mary Alice graduated from McEvoy High School, in Macon, Ga. She worked many years as a Nurse's assistant at Goodwill Nursing Home, and also did private sitting for many of the elderly in south Macon. She was always giving of herself, and it showed in her passion for the patients she cared for, as well as her family and friends.
For many years she lived at Vineville Christian Towers and created many friendships with the wonderful residents there, for which the family is grateful. Her best friend in life, Ann Presley,was always there to help with their favorite hobby, wreath making. The family would also like to give special thanks to Dr Lance Patterson and staff, Coliseum Same Day Surgery staff, Magnolia Manor Nursing Home staff in Rock Hill, SC, and Bolingreen Nursing Home staff in Macon, GA for the care given to their Mom.
Survivors include her son, Henry (Stacey) Goss of Macon, Ga, daughter, Holly (Alan) Hutto of Fort Mill, SC; two grandchildren, Chloe Anne Goss and Marissa Gabrielle Goss of Macon; siblings, Jane Shelby of Macon, Ga, John Cummings, Jr (Janice) of Richmond VA, Tommy David (Nita) Cummings, Sr. of Greensboro GA; several cherished nieces and nephews.
