Mary Booze, born on July 2, 1944, peacefully passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 82. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Mary’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Snow’s Funerals and Cremations at Macon Memorial Park, located at 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Georgia 31204. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mary was a talented and dedicated cosmetologist, a profession through which she shared her warmth, creativity, and passion for making others feel beautiful. She was the deeply cherished wife of Johnnie Booze, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage, building a beautiful life centered on deep love and enduring commitment. She was a loving mother of her two bonus daughters, Angela Morton and LaRunda Jones. Her legacy of love lives on through her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She is survived by her dear brother, Griffin Williams (and wife Grace), her half-sister, Deloris Hutchins, her brother-in-law, Willie Brown, and sisters-in-law, Mary K. Williams and Luell Williams, son-in-law, Reginald Morton. Mary leaves behind a host of loving nephews and nieces, including her devoted nephew and niece, Eric and Jessie Miller, for whom she held a deep and profound appreciation for their unwavering love, care, and presence in her life. She is also survived by her dear friend, Jane Grant, whose companionship she deeply treasured.
Mary was reunited in eternity with her beloved parents, Virgil “Jake” Williams and Ettie Mae Williams. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Johnny Orr, Henry Williams, Nathaniel Williams, Eddie Mack Williams, Virgil Williams Jr., and sister Ettie Mae Williams.
