Macon, GA – Mary Lillian Lunsford, 85, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplin Jim Waters officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to service time on Friday, 17, 2012 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 277 Martin Luther King Blvd, Macon GA 31201 or donor’s favorite charity.
Mrs. Lunsford was born in Epworth, Georgia to the late Joseph and Ella Owenby Millsaps. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Romas Ed Raley and Bill Lunsford. Mrs. Lunsford was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gray, Daughters of the Nile, Macon Moose Club Ladies Auxiliary and Woodmen of the World.
She is survived by her loving step-daughters, Madelyn Grovenstein, Gwynell R. Davis, Charlotte R. Katz, she is also survived by Bill’s children, Wayne Lunsford, Linda Barrington, Pam Monson, and Liz Waters, fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, sister, Ruth M. Karlson and one niece and two nephews.
