OBITUARY
Mary McEachern
May 20, 1922 – January 12, 2021
Mary Clarke McEachern, 98, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Laudis “Rick” Lanford officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Methodist Children’s Home, 304 Pierce Ave., Macon GA 31204; Loaves and Fishes, 651 MLK Blvd., Macon GA 31201; Friends of the Library, 2720 Riverside Dr., Macon GA 31204 or Stratford Academy, 6010 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210. Facemask and social distancing are required.
Mary was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Elmer H. and Ruth G. Woodard Clarke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David McEachern. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Clothes Closet and Food Pantry for several years. Mary also volunteered in the community where she was willing to help others. She was a devoted and loving wife, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
The family would like to thank the special caregivers, Debra Eavenson and Ora Martin for their love and care given to Mrs. McEachern.
She is survived by her children, Jan (Carl) Capps of Macon, and Tom (Debbie) McEachern of Macon; grandchildren, Clay (Hayes) Capps of Macon, Matthew (Bonnie) Capps of Pike Road AL, Whitley McEachern of Atlanta; great grandchildren, Lawton Capps, Rand Capps, Mary Nell Capps and Charlotte Capps.
