Melanie “Mimi” S. Brown, 66, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023 with her family by her side. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Antebellum Senior Living on Arlington, 684 Arlington Place, Macon GA 31201.
Melanie was born in Macon, GA to the late Robert Bruce Stewart and Margaret Ricks Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband Laurence Brown, her daughter, Michelle Gardner, and two stepchildren: Diane Brown Armoska and Charlie Courtney. She resided at Arlington Place Assisted Living facility, in Macon, for the past two years where she made many friends that became her second family. She loved to play Bingo and her favorite thing of all was to go shopping.
She is survived by her two children, Dusty Gardner (Stacy) and Tara Bullington (Tyler), two stepchildren: Angela Sebestyen (Danny), Tammy Case (John) and many grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, and her extended family.
