Michael "Mike" Allen Howard

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, with the Rev. Loran Smith and Rev. Josh Gale officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Memorial United Methodist Church, 5290 Arkwright Road, Macon, GA 31210, or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at TST.org.

Mike was born in Dublin, Georgia, to the late John Wesley and Charlotte Bushong Howard. He was a devoted member of Park Memorial United Methodist Church and lived his faith through his love and service to others.

One of the ways Mike shared his faith was through music. Along with Bonnie Johnson, he sang with the Melodics, bringing music and joy to elderly residents in nursing homes, memory care homes, and those in respite care. His ministry through song touched many lives and was a meaningful part of who he was.

Mike was a Financial Planner with The Howard Group. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing his guitars, and spending time outdoors. He will be remembered for his faith, his music, his love of family, and the many lives he touched through his kindness and service.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-two years, Janice Howard; his sister, Linda Howard; sister-in-law, Marsha Miller Luttrell; niece, Kelly Cook; great-nephew, Henry Cook; and his aunt, Gail Howard Allen, along with her family.

Mike’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
