Neil Leon Williams

Neil L. Williams, 73, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Rayford Johnson officiating. The family will meet friends on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Countryside Baptist Church, 667 Carmen Place, Macon GA 31206.

Mr. Williams was born in Eatonton, GA to the late Burley and Mattie Kettle Williams. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Judah, James H. Williams and Helen Kidd. He was a member of Countryside Baptist Church and was retired from Paul Walsh Nissan as a mechanic. Neil loved fishing, bowling, and “Cruising” and most of all he loved his family and friends. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his wife of thirty five years, Peggy Sue Williams of Macon, daughter, Amanda Williams of Macon, son, Russell (Lindsey) Williams of Fort Valley, granddaughter, Maison Williams of Fort Valley, other children, Matt, Andrew, Josh and Mashawn, brother, Terry Joe Williams of Cochran, sister, Nancy Bazemore of Macon, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
