Nettie Dixon Allmon

A celebration of her life will be held in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, November 29, at 2 o'clock. The family will greet friends for the hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Allmon was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to the late Lloyd Pickney and Clara Bohannon Dixon. She married Finis Allmon, on June 19, 1945, before settling in Americus, Georgia, and then later moving to Macon. Mrs. Allmon worked for 30 years as the business manager of Riverside Ford, before retiring in 2001. She is preceded in death by her husband, Finis Allmon; brothers Tom Dixon, and Doyle Dixon.

Those left to carry on her legacy include her sons, Byron Allmon (Alice); Clay Allmon (Ruby); grandchildren, Scott Allmon (Natasha); Stacey Lynne Graves (Lawrence); Byron "Keith" Allmon (Carrie); Shannon Lore Allmon; Chris Simmons; Saint Elijah Allmon; Sheryl Lynn Mull; Vicky Lee Vollentine (Jim); 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Wayne Dixon; several nieces,nephews and friends.
