Nina Elizabeth Strayer, 96, was welcomed home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reunited with her husband, Richard Strayer. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Copeland, Rev. Terry Reese and Rev. Greg Turner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mrs. Strayer was born in Emanuel County to the late Murphey and Mamie Durden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Strayer, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Faith E. (John) Shoupp of Bonaire, son, Richard Lee Strayer, Jr. of Warner Robins, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister, Delaine Robinson of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
