Opal W. Bentley

MACON - Opal W. Bentley, 85, passed away on Saturday, December 04, 2010. Funeral services and a celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2P.M. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dames Ferry Church Cemetery with Rev. Joe Williams and Rev. Steve Womack officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 3312 Northside Drive, Bldg. D, Ste. 150, Macon GA 31210.

Mrs. Bentley was born on January 17, 1925 in Winter Haven, FL to the late Arthur and Rena Colvin Witt. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Burnett Foster, Sherwood Brown and a daughter, Becky Johnson, brother, Arthur J.B. Witt and sister, Margie Morrison. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base as a logistics clerk and was a member of Parkway Assembly of God Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her children, Shirley (Ray) Williams of Dublin, Ed (Freeda) Foster of Macon, Victor Foster of Macon, Russell (Ellen) Foster of Byron, Jimmy Ray (Nancy) Foster of Macon, Dennis (Sharon) Brown of Macon, David (Mellanie) Brown of Macon, twenty one grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
