Orrin Hall Carstarphen III

JULIETTE- Orrin Hall Carstarphen, III, age 63, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, April 9, 2010 with Rev. Jimmy Corbitt officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 8 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 365 Pea Ridge Rd., Juliette, GA 31046.

Mr. Carstarphen was born in 1947 to Orrin Hall Carstarphen, Jr. and the late Dorothy Keene Carstarphen. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Mr. Carstarphen was retired from the City of Macon and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Carstarphen and Jeff Carstarphen.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy Carstarphen of Juliette; two daughters, Denise (Earl) Jackson of Forsyth and Jennifer (Bart) Marsh of Macon; a son, Orrin (Lisa) H. Carstarphen IV; eleven grandchildren, Christy Jackson, Orrin Carstarphen V, Andrew Carstarphen, Brittney Jackson, Kirsten Marcola, Keeley Jackson, Morgan Marsh, Lindsey Marsh, Katie Jackson, Brandon Marsh and Brayden Marsh; two great-grandchildren, Angel Marie Marcola and Dani Harris; his father, O.H. Carstarphen, Jr.; a brother, Danny (Brenda) Carstarphen and a sister, Teressa (Greg) Schultz; several nephews and a niece also survive.
