

Otis L. McKinney, Jr., 86, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014. A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Holland and the Rev. Phil Anderson officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northway Church, 5915 Zebulon Road, Macon GA 31210.
Mr. McKinney was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Otis and Stella McKinney. He served in the United States Army and attended Mercer University where he played baseball. Mr. McKinney was retired with forty years of service from Georgia Power Company. He was a member of Northway Church and was active in Sunday School and he enjoyed the “Chick-Fil-A Coffee Club” where he served as President at the Tom Hill Drive location. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Barbara W. McKinney of Macon, three children, Mickie (Sterling) Bailey of Macon, Julie McKinney of Colorado Springs, CO, Lee (Angie) McKinney of Macon, grandchildren, Brian (Kacey) DeMichiel, Adam Bailey, Allie Bailey and Haley Joyner all of Macon, sister, Doris Seaman of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.
