Paul Polk, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, October 29, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Susan Alley officiating. Entombment will be private. The family will greet friends Tuesday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or those who wish may make donations to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 501 Bass Rd., Macon, 31210.
Mr. Polk was born in Hampton, South Carolina and was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Crapse Polk; three brothers and one sister. He worked for Eberhardt and Barry and was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Mr. Polk volunteered with ARC, Special Olympics, and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his son, Paul Scott Polk; sister-in-law, June Smith; nieces, Julie (Tara) Darragh, Polly (Ray) Ellington and Jodie (Ken) Carswell; and other extended family.
