Paul I. Roberts, 83, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Cash officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
Mr. Roberts was born to the late James H. and Lola B. Roberts. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Mason and Past Member of the Shriners. Paul was retired from the Macon –Bibb County Water Authority. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his two sons, Richard (Barbara) Roberts of Macon, Dennis (Judy) Roberts of Sanibel, FL, sister, Ethel Chancey of Lizella, four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
