

Pauline “Polly” Hildreth Smith, 86, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mike Manley will officiate. The family may be contacted at the residence. Donations may be made to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
Mrs. Smith was born in Phoenix City, Alabama, the daughter of the late Pauline Harrell Hildreth and Thomas Morton Hildreth. She was a former realtor of RE/MAX, life member of the Million Dollar Club, received the Eagle Award, was an associate broker, and was former President and Vice-President of the Women’s Council of Realtors. Mrs. Smith was also a member of Doles United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Chief J.C. Smith, Jr., was preceded in death by twin brother, Paul Hildreth and Thomas Hildreth and a great-grandson, Steven Rowland and a son-in-law; Horace E. Hibberd.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Theresa D. Hibberd of Macon, Richard Sutton of Macon, Rodney Smith of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Jason Hibberd (Alison), Misty Rowland (Benjamin), Melissa Sutton, Aaron Sutton and Kelly Voelkel (Greg) and Kristin Jones (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Milea Faye Hibberd, and Katherine and Jackson Rowland and Jack Jones.
