Phillip Owen Harris, Jr. 37, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends from Noon to service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be private for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emory University Hospital, c/o Transplant Unit, 1365 E. Clifton Road NE, Atlanta GA 30322.
Owen was born in Macon, Georgia to Phillip Owen Harris, Sr. and Gina Sanders Wilson. He worked at Emory University Hospital as a nurse in the Transplant Unit for several years taking wonderful care of his patients. Owen was an avid comic book collector and was a musician and songwriter. He was a devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to all.
He is survived by his mother, Gina Sanders (David) Wilson of Macon; father, Phillip Owen Harris, Sr. of Woodstock; sister, Melissa Danielle Harris (Danyelle) of Gray; niece, Autumn Skye Harris; aunts and uncles, Randy (Gwen) Harris, Debbie (JD) Hilton, Sylvia (Richard) Little, Beverly (Don) Shea, Donald Sanders, and Michael Sanders and numerous cousins. His chosen second family, Candy, Emory, and Brent Tucker, and best band member friend, Jay Nault.
