Phillip “Phil” W. Scott, 90, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Benjamin Newberry officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 5046 Fulton Mill Road, Macon GA 31216.
Phil was born in Southside, Tennessee to the late Jesse D. and Beulah Woods Scott. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Scott and Grady Lee Scott. Phil served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired after twenty years of service. He worked for several years with Sanco Chemical Company and was retired from the State of Georgia after fifteen years.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Scott, children, Buddy Scott, Melanie Louise Sloan, Glynda Faye Nickleski and Christopher Scott, and brother, Harry L. Scott.
