Phyllis A. Massey, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 6, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Luke Mastervick officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3380 Chastain Meadows Pkwy NW, Kennesaw GA 30303.
Phyllis was born in Rome, Georgia to the late Joe L. and Margaret Adams Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken C. Massey, son, Rev. Chad Massey, daughter-in-law, Amy Massey and brother, Bo Thomas. Phyllis was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her children, Curt Massey of Macon, Chris (Amy) Massey of Warner Robins, grandchildren, Mallory Massey, Tyler Massey, Noah Massey, Matthew Hunter Taft, and Christopher Allan Massey Jr., brother, Ken (Judy) Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.
