

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Raycille Edna Jacks, age 73, of Macon, Georgia. She passed away on July 3, 2023 at home after an extended illness. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 7. 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Raycille was born on October 7, 1949 at Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Raymond Wolfinger and Lucille Martin Wolfinger. She grew up in a military family where they were stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. Raycille attended Baker High School in Columbus, Georgia where she met her husband Gene Jacks. Raycille and Gene were married shortly after high school and have been married for over 55 years. Gene was deployed to the Vietnam War just as they began to start a family. Following the war, they settled in Columbus, Georgia for many years. Raycille worked at Sun Ray Cleaners and then Kmart stores. They then moved to Macon, Georgia where she spent her remaining years. Raycille worked for Kmart stores for over 30 years. She worked hard and long hours to support and provide for her family. She always had a Kmart story to tell and she always got the best shopping deals. She would have a conversation with just about anyone and knew no strangers. Raycille loved with all her heart and adored her siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Martin, and her daughter, Brenda Shed. She is survived by her husband, Vester Gene Jacks; her brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Sherrell Wolfinger of Phenix City, AL; sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Ken Tidwell of Pine Mountain, GA; her daughter, Jeanie Hudson of Macon, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Rhonda Jacks of Cummings, GA; her son-in-law, Jeremy Shed of Macon; GA, her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Stephen Conner of Eastman, GA; and eight grandchildren, Matthew Jacks, Bradley Mishoe, Bailey Jacks, Brendan Shed, Dakota Jacks, Andrew Conner, Arabella Jacks and Alayna Jacks and several nieces and nephews.
