Macon – Richard Don Oldfield, 67, passed away October 30, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday November 3, 2010 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Oldfield was born in O’Brien TX to the late Mack Ellis Oldfield and Lottie Mae Youngblood Oldfield. He was a member of Log Cabin Baptist Church and had been raised to the degree of Master Mason. Mr. Oldfield was retired from MET Life Insurance company. The family would like to say a special thanks to the caregivers Nicolette Lockhart and Shirley Simmons.
He is survived by his two sons, Don Oldfield, Jr. of Macon and Wes Oldfield of Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Collin Oldfield, Eric Oldfield, and Brianna Oldfield; best friend, Dot Layson; brother, Mackey Oldfield of Amarillo, TX; sister, Faye Williams of Mesquite, TX; sister-in-laws, Sarah Maier, and Lavada Oldfield; several nieces and nephews.
