

Robert M. “Bob” Blackerby, Sr., 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 24, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 @ 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Noah Cleveland officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Rock Springs Church of Macon, 1415 Bass Road, Macon GA 31210.
Bob was born in Red Level, Alabama on February 18, 1931, to the late Robert Andrew Blackerby and Lillian Coxwell Blackerby. He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian D. Blackerby, Sarah Anne Blackerby and the mother of his children, Margaret Jones Lowe, his son, Robert M. Blackerby Jr. and his daughter, Janice B. Hall and all of his siblings.
Bob served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II and was a proud Mason and faithfully served as a Deacon at Rock Springs Church of Macon.
The family wants to give a special thanks to his caregivers Doug and Vicki Senn and Tristan and the Best nurse ever Peggy Hayes Knight of Juliette, Georgia.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine B. (Vance) Perkins, Sr. of Juliette, GA several bonus children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews he loved with his whole heart. Also to cherish his memory is his significant other, Laverne Gregory and his precious furbaby, “Georgia”.
His motto was: “God Loves You and So Do I”
