BONAIRE – Robert Franklin Turner, 86, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Masonic Rites conducted by Central Georgia Masonic Memorial Association. Burial will be Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Andersonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home of Georgia, 1418 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211.
Mr. Turner, a native of Louisville, KY. He was the son of the late Sidney Turner and Fannie Mudd Turner and served with the U. S. Army during World War II and held as a Prisoner of War for three years in a German Camp. Mr. Turner was a member of Lizella United Methodist Church and a member of Masonic George Washington Lodge No. 904 and Scottish Rite and Kosaire Shrine Temple. He was a carpenter retired from Carpenters’ Union No. 185.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Jarriell Turner of Macon, children, grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
