Mr. Tyler was a Wonderful Father-in-law to me.   I loved him very much.  He was also a Great Grandpa to Chad and Brandi.  We will definitely miss him.

Mr Tyler and I had been having lunch together for the last 25 years. We have shared many memories together. He was full of information about life and in general. He loved to garden and tell me what all he was growing. He shared about his experience during the Korean War and how he escaped death and how he spent much of his leisure time there. Several years ago he gave me a scuppernong bush that has made thousands of fruit. He would come to see it during September when the fruit was ripe and get a cup full to eat on. He’d always say he had never seen a Bush with that many scuppernongs on it and would ask me (what kind of fertilizer  are you using) I’d tell him 10-10-10, he never believed me cause he thought I was using a secret formula. I’ll miss him and think about him when I look at that Bush .May God Bless you James and Sheryl and your family he was a second daddy to me. Sincerely Mark, The Mailman

Mr. Tyler is survived by his son, James Tyler (Lisa) of Gray and daughter, Cheryl Tyler Epps of Apison, TN; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
