Roland L. Minshew, 65, passed away on October 29, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park with Rev. Rickey Minshew officiating. The family will greet friends Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mason Guest House for Organ Transplant Families, 1555 Shoup Court, Decatur, GA 30033.
Roland was born in Macon, GA to the late Richard Minshew and Betty Pierce Minshew. He was preceded in death by his brother Ricky Minshew. He loved watching NASCAR, drag racing and other motor sports. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his three children, Rickey (Darlene) Minshew, of McDonough, Rodney Minshew of Demorest, Stephanie (Wesley) Hall of Jefferson, grandchildren, Dawson and Gaius, sisters, Ann (Larry) Reynolds, Jennifer Sneed, brothers, David Minshew and Billy Minshew, and several nieces and nephews.
