Mr. Towson was born in Butler, GA to the late George and Frances Windham Towson. He was a graduate of Taylor County High School and was self employed with Towson Trucking Company. Mr. Towson also served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years Regina Towson; sons, Ron Towson, Jr.(Cynthia) of Roberta, Sam Towson of Butler; daughters, Beth Jackson (Mike) of Manchester, GA, Adrienne Bailey (Tad) of Upatoi, GA and Heather Phillips (Charles) of Phoenix City, AL; six grandchildren; brother, Edward Towson of Albany; sister, Cynthia Godbey of Montgomery, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
