Ruby C. Gibson, 96, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Stone Edge Church. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Daniel Larry McLeod, Jr. officiating.
She was born in Brewton, AL to the late Lawrence L. and Carlie E. Brewton Lynch. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ivey Gibson and her great grandson, James Eric Hawkins. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Day Star Church of God and attended Stone Edge Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and aunt. Ruby was an avid gardener, excellent Southern cook and was renowned for her beautiful ferns and homemade biscuits.
She is survived by her children; Frances (Carl) Stewart of Macon, Dean Senft of Hampton, Sue (Larry) McLeod of Conyers, grandchildren; Rebekah (Dennis) Clanton, Sherry (Phillip) Lee, Alysia Cooper, Jimmy (Michelle) Hawkins, Tina McMurray, Lester Douglas, Daniel McLeod, Terry (Anna-Marie) McLeod, nineteen great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.
