Russell was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Charles D. and Willodean King Peterman. He was an avid fan of Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves and NASCAR. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by the love of his life, Melody Wesson of Macon, sons, Russell Peterman (Dixie), Joshua Peterman, Johnathon Wesson (Christy), grandchildren, Noah Peterman, Alaina Wesson, brother, Randy Peterman, sister, Treena Hendricks and several nieces and nephews and his best friend ChiChi, his dog.
