Ruth Edenfield Broxton

Ruth Edenfield Broxton, 95, passed away on May 6, 2022. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, May 9, 2022 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00PM until service time on Monday. Ruth was born in Swainsboro, GA to the late Lonnie Edenfield and Shelly Youmans Edenfield. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and Pathfinder Sunday School class. Ruth loved the outdoors and was a charter member of Heart of Georgia Quilt Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Broxton; infant daughter and son, Lonnie Richard Broxton; brother, Lonnie Edenfield, Jr. and sister, Catherine Taylor. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Survivors include her son, Jerry Broxton of Macon; granddaughter, Ginger B. Evans (Keith) of Macon; two great granddaughters, Annamarie Megginson (Ryan) of Perry and Abbigail Fisher of Macon. Visit www.maconmp.com to express condolences.
