Ruth Alexander Forrest, 89, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Liza Marler officiating, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Forrest was born in Macon to the late Sallie Mae Alexander and Willie Preston Alexander. She was a homemaker, an avid Braves fan and loved gardening. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Neadham Dumas and Dupont Forrest and her sister, Anne Noonan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be missed by her family and friends for her loving ways and feisty spirit.
Mrs. Forrest is survived by her children: Ned (Jean) Dumas of Macon, Pamela (Steve) Baltes of Jackson, Debbie (Mike) Drayton of Mocksville, NC and Guerry Forrest of Warner Robins; grandchildren: Bobby (Tracy) Dumas, Darci Gilreath, Stacey (Rob) King, Clif Harris, Summer (Danny) Hubert, and Michael Forrest; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters: Beverly (Marion) Wade and Sandra (Broughton) Mullins; several nieces and nephews .
