MACON – Sallie Dorsey Daniel, 95, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1005 Anthony Road, Macon 31204. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Brother Fred Robbins and Chairman Michael Hampton will officiate. The family will greet friends from 4 until 6 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Daniel was born in Thomaston, Georgia and had lived in Macon for most of her life. She was the widow of James Daniel, Sr., was preceded in death by a son, L. C. Daniel, a brother, Albert Dorsey and she was the daughter of the late Otis and Sallie Johnson Dorsey. Mrs. Daniel was a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 65 years.
Mrs. Daniel is survived by her son, James (Vivian) Daniel, Jr. of Oakland, CA; grandchild, Terry Ann Daniel; brother, Roysie Dorsey of Summerville, NJ; sisters, Fannie MacWashington of Chicago, IL and Mollie Dorsey of Miami, FL; sister-in-law, Jewell Dorsey of Macon; Very special spiritual son, Michael (Faith) Hampton of Macon.
