

Samuel “Gary” Riley, 68, joined his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at a local hospital. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2015 at Northside Christian Church with Pastor David Perry officiating. The family will greet friends in the Family Life Center at the church. Memorial gifts may be made to Northside Christian Church, Building Fund, 5024 Northside Drive, Macon GA 31210.
Mr. Riley, son of the late Samuel Austin Riley and Sarah Lorene Rainey Riley, was a lifelong resident of Macon and was the brother of the late Benjamin Austin Riley. He was a member of the Dudley Hughes High School Class of 1966 and headed their reunion planning group for years. Gary was Director of Sales with Colonial Bakery and was a member of the Warner Robins Order of Moose serving three terms as Governor. He was a member of Northside Christian Church, where he served as Head Elder, the Cook of the Church and was known and loved as the Heart of the Church. He was most of all, a wonderful husband, daddy, papa “Gary” and uncle.
Survivors include those he loved most, his devoted wife, Nancy C. Riley of Macon; children, Sabryna LeBlanc (Timothy) and Jada Dixon (Fred) all of Gainesville, Austin Riley (Angela) of Warner Robins, Sarah Nicole LaPollo (Patrick) of Savannah, Dr. Will Rankine (Wendy) of Warner Robins, Kimberly Braun (Joe) of St. Petersburgh, FL; his beloved grandchildren, Zack Dixon (Kayla), Blane Dixon (Stephanie), Jeremy Dixon, Brittany LeBlanc, Sarah Riley, Riley LaPollo, Noah LaPollo, Harrison LaPollo, William Rankine, Weston Rankine, Brittany Francis, Katie Francis, Ferrell Francis, Kaleb Pellegrin, great grandchildren; Caden Pierce and Camden Dixon and several nieces and nephews.
