Sara Lane Flake, age 90, of Milledgeville, GA, passed away March 16, 2020. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, 3969 Mercer University Dr. at 11:00 am with Reverend Josh Gale officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10:00 am until service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Flake was born on March 8, 1930 to the late Richard and Mary Bloodworth Lane in Macon, GA. She enjoyed her summer home at Young Harris, GA in the north Georgia mountains. She and Bill enjoyed their retirement years visiting this home and traveling to various places. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Milledgeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Flake Sr. and brother, John Lane. Mrs. Flake is survived by her brother, Richard Lane; sister, Mary Ellen Westbrook; stepsons, Bill and Thomas Flake; and a number of nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
