Sarylan Bloodworth Chitwood, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Snow's @ Macon Memorial Park with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Entombment will be private in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Sarylan was born in Dublin, Georgia to the late Albert and Mintie Ellen Long, and was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Chitwood. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Bloodworth, her siblings, Alfred, Robert and J.D. Long and Georgia Mae Tyson, Ollie Bell Cummings, and Jacqueline Loyd. Mrs. Chitwood was assistant manager of S&H Green Stamps and retired from Service Merchandise in sales. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Bryan (Bob) of Macon; daughter-in-law, Linda Bloodworth; grandchildren, Leslie Hogan (Troy), Jessica Butler (Clay), Ryan Bloodworth (Rose), Brandi Drake (Matthew); great grandchildren, Savannah and Michael Bloodworth, Kayleigh Watson, Matthew and Jake Butler, and Ellington and Carson Hogan; sister, Jeanette Almand.
Snow's Funerals and Cremations @ Macon Memorial Park has charge of arrangements.
