

Sharon Anita Skinner, 43, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010 after a long and valiant fight against AML Leukemia with her family and friends at her side. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Tim Kelly officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to AML Leukemia, Sharon’s Cause, Robins Federal Credit Union, 4245 Log Cabin Drive, Macon GA 31204.
Sharon was born in Macon, Georgia on May 12, 1967. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edna and Billie Francis, Dorothy Parker and Gaines Minter Johnson, Jr. She was a graduate of the class of 1985, Southwest High School and was employed for 10 years with The Bibb Company as a traffic clerk. Sharon was a member of Gateway Fellowship Church. Her passion was her family and was very active in little league and school activities with her children. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister and friend to everyone.
The family wishes to the thank Dr. Linda Hendricks and her staff, the Doctors and staff at Emory University and Hospice Care Options, for the love and care given to Sharon during her illness. Her very best friends Christy Jackson and Jana Bennett for their love and support given to Sharon over the years.
She is survived by those who love her most, her husband of twenty three years, Richard Skinner of Knoxville, two sons, Austin Skinner and Justin Skinner both of Knoxville, mother and father, June and Wayne Stinson of Knoxville, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha and Bobby Skinner of Knoxville, brother, Bill Stinson of Knoxville, brother-in-law, Joey (Robin) Skinner of Knoxville, grandmother, Ruby Genelle Johnson of Lizella, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a great nephew, and her special dog, Petie.
