Sharon Tidwell

Sharon Tidwell, 88, entered the presence of her Lord peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Sharon was born in Glenwood, Georgia, on April 14, 1938, to Evie Lena Wood Anderson and William Lafayette Anderson.

Sharon moved to Macon, Georgia, where she met and married Arthur Eugene “Gene” Tidwell. Together, they became members of Williamson Road Baptist Church and built a life centered on faith and family. They were blessed with five children: Tony Tidwell (Ava), Tim Tidwell (Rocio), Sheila Guinn (Bert), Troy Tidwell (Kim), and Traci Luman (David).

In 1970, Sharon and her family moved to Titusville, Florida. There, she became deeply involved in her community through volunteer and charitable work. She worked for the American Heart Association and at the Titusville Courthouse, where she later served as Budget Analyst for Brevard County until her retirement in 2005.

Sharon was an active member of Temple Baptist Church for more than 20 years and later attended Heritage Baptist Church, both in Titusville. She was a woman of unwavering strength and faith, with a deep love for Jesus and her family. Her hands were rarely still; she had a servant’s heart, and that heart was evident in everything she did. Through every season of her life, Sharon gave glory to God.

Sharon was blessed with five children, 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved deeply. Her family was one of the greatest joys of her life, and the love, faith, and devotion she poured into them will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Gene Tidwell; her mother, Evie Lena Chaffin; her stepfather, Bob Chaffin; her father, William Lafayette Anderson; her brothers, Charlton T. Anderson and Edward Kenneth Anderson; her daughter, Traci Tidwell Luman; and many other loved ones who had gone before her.

Sharon will be missed greatly, and although we grieve her absence from this earth, we rejoice in the eternal life she now has with her Savior and Lord forevermore.

She is home.

Visitation will be held at Snow's @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on September 25, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Celebration of Her Life will take place at Snow's @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel on September 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Rev. Tony Tidwell will officiate.
