Sherry Lee Marshall McCranie, 79, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating.
Sherry was born in Jefferson, Alabama to the late Lon Eubanks and Ramona Martha Hood Marshall. She was preceded in death by her son, David Patrick McCranie, grandson, Brian Patrick McCranie, brother, Danny Eubanks Marshall. Sherry was retired from Middle Georgia Community Action Agency and was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. Sherry enjoyed sewing, collecting dolls, and was generous in donating food to the food bank, and Wounded Warriors and Animal Rescue. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-one years, William James McCranie, Sr. of Lizella, son, William James (Connie) McCranie, Jr. of Roberta, grandchildren, Timothy James McCranie of Lizella, Joyce Patricia Marzian, Raymond Harry Marzian, great grandson, Kaleb McCranie, three sisters, Kim Starley, Toni Dean, Lanie (Butch) Finnigan and several nieces and nephews.
