Shirley Clance “Nana” Jones, 77, passed away on December 24, 2018. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Noon in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Andy Oxford officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Shirley was born in Bibb County to the late William Wesley Clance, Sr. and Laura Lena Jones Clance. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Eschol Leonard Jones, Jr. and her daughter, Wanda Marie Hopson. Shirley was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her two sons, Len (Brenda) Jones, and Mark (Brenda) Jones, son-in-law, Ricky (Sue) Hopson, grandchildren, Wesley (Kristin) Jones and Zac Jones, Jonathan Jones, Leon (Elissa) Jones, Derby (Doug) Chandler, Lauren (Britt) Holloway, Stephanie (Craig) Salvati, great-grandchildren, Elijah, Elena, Aubrie, Zayden, Steven, Bryce, Penelope, and Maddox and brother, William Wesley Clance, Jr., sisters, Cynthia Connell and Beverly Bynum, and several nieces and nephews.
