Shirley Fogarty Glotzbach, 79, passed away on Monday, March 10. 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Marty Watson and Rev. Aaron Thomason officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Shirley was born in Abbeville, Georgia to the late Jessie and Vera Johnson Fogarty. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wendell Fogarty, Kenneth Fogarty and sister, Wynona Fogarty Truska. She was retired from Brown and Williamson as a machine operator. Shirley attended Antioch Baptist Church, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to read, cross stitch and playing golf. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Glotzbach of Macon, children, Charles A. Johnson, Shannon Lewis Johnson, Joseph Anthony Glotzbach, Donald E. (Louise) Glotzbach, Robert J. Glotzbach II, Rebecca A. Smith Glotzbach, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother, Wilbur Fogarty of Dry Branch, and several nieces and nephews.
